About Me
My first memory of woodworking is when I was four or five years old. I took a hand saw off my fathers garage workbench, went into the house and proceeded to modify the wood arm on a living room chair. I got three good strokes in before Mom put a halt to my project. I've been making sawdust ever since. I've now been a woodworker for over 35 years. I enjoy the design process as much as the actual woodworking.
My 4,000 sq. ft. facility is located in rural Jackson County Illinois, south of Murphysboro. The shop is equipped with a variety of modern and vintage machinery. In the photo below, I am standing next to "Big Bertha", my 36 inch Yates-American bandsaw. I always like to take the opportunity to use the antique Stanley hand planes in my collection.
